I had many years ago an event at the Frankfurt messe, unfortunately a constriction worker did destroy the main power line for the whole venue… so we had drinks, food, some candle light and went home, sometimes there is nothing you can save or change, you just make the best out of it :)

Usually there a several reasons to chose an agency and I believe that counts for huge brands as well as for all the others. It is most likely a combination of the creative idea, the trust that an agency can deliver, the price and finally and most important this is still a peoples business, so personal connection plays an important role.
